You traversed the chasm between God and man. You paid the price that mankind can have a better future. You rose from the dead when you had been given up for dead. The cold hands of death could not keep you down, my Lord and Savior!

Thank you for the redemptive work of salvation; thank you for the hope for a better tomorrow. Thank you dear Lord for putting hope back into our destinies. Thank you Lord Jesus for resurrection!

Thank you for the foundation of a better tomorrow. Thank you because the hopeless becomes hopeful; the sorrowful has a shot at happiness; the defeated an opportunity for victory. Thank you Savior of the universe.

SHM REFLECTIONS_You Are What You Think.

Blessed day to you all, dear friends. Do you know that man is no more than the sum total of his thoughts? Even God knows this, hence the advanced mind and free will He gave man.

Simple though it may appear that little things rule over large ones, many still cannot wrap their minds around this fact. Let me illustrate with practical examples. As large as the aero plane is small parts, compared to its size, propel and keep it going. Similarly for large ship carriers. The exact same thing for man. How small, compared to the body is the tongue? Does it not determine destinies? I hope you get the picture? Your mind is in this exact category!

So, what do you dwell on? It has been proved that what a man thinks about most of the time becomes a pattern, which becomes a habit, which forms his character, which decides his life!

I encourage you therefore dear friend, check what you think about, what you allow to dominate your thought process. Your thoughts are really the currency of your personal economy, not physical cash which is just a medium of exchange.

Have a great week ahead thinking thoughts that will edify, elevate and proffer solutions to problems that needs solving. This way, you will cause God’s glory to radiate in and through you!

SHM REFLECTIONS_Spiritual Responsibility Of The Saved

Salvation guarantees Divine help and blessings for all saved persons. This is the heritage of redemption for all children of God. However, it is spiritual responsibility that delivers the help and blessing to each saved soul. Salvation is only a good foundation, a sure start to a new life in Christ Jesus.

Often times however, many saved get it wrong. They automatically expect an end to all their challenges the moment they come to the Lord. I am sorry to disappoint you – that is not the way it works.

All redemption does is save your soul and give you a platform to redeem your heritage in God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Let me try to illustrate this. Remember that man (like God) is also a trinity. Man is a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. So, if all salvation does is save the soul, the natural question ought to be – “what happens to the remaining 2/3rds of man – his spirit and body?

This is where spiritual responsibility comes in. By this I mean your capacity to (a) keep, like Paul said, your body under subjection from the ills of living in a fallen world; and (b) feed your spirit man constantly with the truth of the Word of God. As to ‘a’, you and I both have a responsibility to live according to the precepts and laws of the Almighty God. You need to internalise this fact. Will this be tough? You bet! Coming from a life of living to please yourself alone, you will be shocked at the amount of work and pain this entails! This is the more so because His precepts are against popular culture and its rules! Because His laws are supposed to be an antidote to the ills of pop culture. So, the journey will be hard; but be of good cheer because the Holy Spirit is ready to walk the walk with you as Guide and Comforter.

To achieve ‘b’, we really need to be smart because everybody lives a busy life – either to work or to loaf! To be smart is to use modern (did I hear someone say, ‘aha’!) tools to aid our word feast. The Bible and many resources that edify life are now found in various electronic media formats, such that there really should be no excuse for anyone who desires to feed his spirit man. Do it daily! Initially it would appear a drag, but give it time and you will get a rhythm that works for you.

These are two (2) elements of the spiritual responsibility that will deliver all the help and blessings of salvation to you. Remember, the Bible expects all of us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling! So, dear friend, what are you waiting for? Get going already! You shall excel IJMN.

SHM REFLECTIONS_Advantages In Disadvantage.

Do not take me for a prude, but I mean it when I say to you dear friends, that there are numerous advantages in being at a disadvantage.

Have you ever heard the story of a General on an expedition to the new world? When he got to their new found land, rather than allow his men fall into a longing to return to the comfort of their home land, he burnt the vessel that conveyed them to the new world. Implication – virgin land it may be, but great opportunities it will be!

By the same token, dear friend, I charge you to take another look at that situation that you regard as a disadvantage, you will discover that it holds its own potentials. The only problem is that we often focus on the problem and not on he possibilities in problems.

Martin Luther ran foul of the Church establishment. They found his ideas sacrilegious and ostracized him. Rather than be discouraged by this obvious disadvantage, Luther led a revolution to reform the church. Guess what? The old establishment, to remain relevant, had to yield to his reforms with time! What if Luther had given up?

Dear friend, do not give up. There is a testimony in every test; glory in every story. Find your own tipping point in every problem situation and watch your situation change. Turn every disadvantage to a problem solving opportunity!

SHM PRAYS_Prayers For Generational Dominion & Relevance.

Dear friends, apart from fellowship, the other reason God created you and me is to have dominion, to positively influence and change our environment. This will be the focus of our prayers today. I encourage you to pray these prayer bullets through in faith and you will see the glory of God.

(1) I receive anointing to solve problems, in my life and in the life of many far and near me IJMN.

(2) I will make a difference in my generation. I will not just go through life. I will impact my world positively to the glory of my God.

(3) My children will be able to do 1 and 2 better than I could ever do them IJMN.

Because the Lord will honour His word above His name, He will honour your faith and answer as you pray through IJMN.

You are created to excel and excel you shall! We love you! Shalom.

SHM PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

Happy new month, dear friend! I decree in the matchless name of The Lord, Jesus Christ that this will be your most productive month yet. Receive abundant grace to do the right things per time. This month will begin a fruitful journey of a glorious quarter in your life. Your goals shall receive fleshing up by the power of the Holy Spirit.

But remember, by God’s principle, He can only build upon the foundation of your ideas, your goals and the pictures of the reality you have envisioned. So, if you still do not have goals, set them out today; ask for unique ideas to become a solution provider!
