Read: Joshua 14: 7-10.

Praying is not an easy task on a good day, even for many who know that God’s power never fails; and who have received the manifold blessings of prayers. If you do not believe me, ask yourself why it was so difficult for the disciples of Jesus Christ (who had been with Him for over three years and seen all the miracles He performed) to pray at the most crucial moment of Jesus’ ministry – in the garden of Gethsemane? Mark 14: 37.

Praying becomes particularly burdensome for many who have prayed over time but have not received answers to their petition. Many in this category are tempted to think that the Lord has abandoned them, if He is there at all. Today, the Lord wants me to assure you that He has not forgotten nor intends to forget you. He is there all right.

The Lord never forgets anyone who is wise enough to be in a covenant relationship with Him. If you read our chosen passage again, you will discover that for 45 years Joshua held unto the promise of the Lord; knowing Him faithful who has promised the thing. He knows that being in a covenant relationship translates to assurance that He can never forget His promises, ever!

I am not saying that you will have to wait for as long as Joshua did to receive answers to your prayers – far from it! What I am saying is that if God has truly made up His mind to bless you; or He has made certain promises to you in His word, which you have claimed in faith; and upon which you remain steadfast in faith, THEN HE WILL KEEP YOU ALIVE until you surely receive it!

The interesting thing about man today is that we are the ones who now dictate the pace to God; when it was ordained the other way round! Somebody said many years ago, “God created man, man created the clock. Man is now using the clock to time God!”

My friends, your appointed time has come, your lives will receive a renewal this year; regardless of what you now feel or go through. Take my counsel, read Psalm 130: 4, Lam. 3: 25-26, and Micah 7: 7 again with understanding. I prophesy to you today: YOU WILL LIVE LONG TO RECEIVE YOUR PROMISE IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME! Shalom.

God bless you. We love you!!!
