FASTING & PRAYERS_Day No. 4 (5th January 2012) – 26 DAYS TO GO.

Today, dear friends as we enter Day 4 of our waiting on the Lord, I want to discuss faith with you. Hebrews 11 defines faith and goes on to give examples of what it amounts to. Many of us really do not need to be taught or even be reminded of what it means. However, even for as many who really understand the meaning of the word, it is always necessary to exult ourselves of its ramifications in our walk with God, particularly as we seek His face in prayers.

Faith is a mysterious and spiritual engraftment of man into God; which in turn makes a god out of man. What I mean by this is that no science or theory can really explain absolute trust in God; hypothesis can guaranty that level of energy that faith generates in man. Yet, when you really have and exercise your faith you are capable of doing supernatural things that will make your fellow human being think you are a god. That exactly was what happened to Paul in Acts 14: 8-11!

My brothers and sisters please know this – faith is not logic. You cannot reason your way into trusting God absolutely. According to 1 Timothy 3: 9, it is a mystery. So, faith and science are not on the same level; faith is anathema to science! I say this because many have asked me the question, ‘why can’t I see it’? ‘It does not appear logical’. Sir/Ma, that is why it is faith. It cannot conform to man’s reasoning. Examples abound in Scripture where the very essence of faith goes against the grain of human understanding. Check out the following Scripture and see if you follow my drift – Luke 1: 13-20, 26-38.

Faith is therefore a general persuasion of the mind that something is true, as God says it is. The warrant or ground of faith is the divine testimony, not the reasonableness of what God says, but the simple fact that he says it. Faith rests immediately on, “Thus saith the Lord.” But in order to this faith the veracity, sincerity, and truth of God must be owned and appreciated, together with his unchangeableness.

It is a result of teaching, which is why I am writing this to you. As you continue to wait on Him and pray, accept that all your requests have been answered and live your life as if you already have that which you are praying about. It is well with you my Brother/Sister. You shall testify IJMN. We love you!!!
